Certification Body Advice
If you are responsible for ensuring your business is certified make sure the
certification body you use is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). UKAS is the only accreditation
body recognised by government to assess certification bodies against internationally recognised standards that ensure the
certification body is fit for purpose. UKAS accredited certification bodies are recognised world-wide and an increasing number
of customers are insisting on UKAS accredited certification. However, being certified by a non UKAS accredited certification
body is perfectly legal, but there's a risk of dealing with a company who may not be competent. More importantly, you
